Badge Categories
Team & Staff Badges
These badges recognize members of the Discord Labs team who help run the platform:
- - Super Admin: Core platform leadership
- - Admin: Administrators with elevated access
- - Moderator: Active moderators reviewing submissions
- - Approver: Trusted approvers reviewing bot submissions
Developer Badges
These badges are automatically awarded based on bot ownership status:
- - Certified Bot Owner: You own at least one certified bot on Labs
- - Verified Bot Owner: You own at least one Discord-verified bot
- - Partnered Bot Owner: You own at least one partnered bot
These badges update automatically whenever a bot you own changes status. You cannot request or remove them.
Custom Badges
Staff may assign custom badges for special recognition. These are unique to each user and assigned on a case-by-case basis.
How Badges Work
Badges are issued in three primary ways: system (platform-owned roles), auto (based on bot ownership/status), and custom (staff-assigned).
- Automatic badges: Owner and bot status badges (certified, verified, partnered) are assigned automatically when a bot's status changes.
- System badges: Team and staff roles (Admin, Approver, Moderator) reflect active platform roles and are managed by the site administrators.
- Custom badges: Staff can assign unique badges for recognition or events; these are visible only to the users who receive them.
- Updates: Badge data is cached briefly for performance and will refresh automatically when a bot or user badge state changes. If you believe a badge is missing, try again after a few minutes or contact staff.
Where Badges Appear
- - On user profile pages, showing all earned badges
- - Next to usernames in comments and reviews
- - In bot owner sections to highlight certified, verified, or partnered developers
- - In user stats and leaderboards (when applicable)
Badges you earn by using Labs
Vote, review and submit bots and these unlock on your Conscherry account. Link your account to start collecting them. They look the same on Conscherry, in the launcher and in KindBot.
